A ten-year-old girl from a Bedouin community in southern Israel is in “critical condition” after being injured by shrapnel during the Iranian drone attack, the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported.
Paramedics treated the young woman, who had a head injury, and took her, unconscious and ventilated, to the Soroka hospital in the Negev region.
At first the MDA identified the victim as a young man, but shortly after the information was corrected.
Emergency services also treated about 20 people with anxiety or who had suffered minor injuries while seeking shelter.
Iran attacked Israel this Saturday with hundreds of drones in retaliation for the recent attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which killed seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and which Tehran attributes to the Jewish State.
Anti-aircraft alarms sounded in several parts of the country, including Jerusalem, where half a dozen explosions were heard, which could be interceptions.
