A The war between Pedro Sánchez’s wife, Begoña Gómez, and judge Juan Carlos Peinado, who is investigating her for corporate corruption and influence peddling, is intensifying.

According to the Spanish press, the president’s wife’s defense now directly accuses the judge of violating several national and international norms, including the Spanish constitution itself, by not clarifying exactly what he is accusing the defendant of.

This happens after the European Public Prosecutor’s Office demanded the central part of the process: the central administration’s million-dollar contracts with businessman Juan Carlos Barrabés, recommended by Gómez.

The allegations of alleged irregularities on the part of the investigator are contained in a letter presented this Tuesday to Peinado’s last order, in which he confirmed that Gómez continues to be accused in this case.

The judge argued that, after the inhibition in favor of European justice, there are still “two other blocks” under investigation, after having received “new documents”. However, at no point during the resolution did the investigator give a single clue as to what these two new lines are.

It is recalled that the complaint against Begoña Gómez, presented by an association linked to the extreme right, involved connections between Pedro Sánchez’s wife and private companies that received public support during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis or signed contracts with the State when her husband was already Prime Minister.
