A The death certificate of little Émile, the boy who disappeared almost a year ago and whose remains were discovered on March 30 of this year, will be officially signed in the next few days.
BFMTV found that the analyzes have not yet been completed and that new investigations will be carried out. Even so, the certificate that formalizes the boy’s death and allows the family to carry out the funeral ceremonies will be issued in the next few days.
“It is important for the family, because at some point the child must be declared dead and this can only happen if we are certain of his death. It is the investigating judges who give this certificate”a source explained to BFMTV.
The analyzes that will still be requested aim to answer the mystery surrounding the child’s disappearance, that is, to understand how he died.
Authorities do not believe the boy was lost alone. “If we were sure that the child was lost, we would stop everything. We are far away and we are still working to ensure that nothing escapes us,” the same source told BFMTV.
Émile disappeared on July 8, 2023, while playing in the garden of his grandparents’ house in the Vernet region, in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France, where the family was on vacation, after taking a nap.
