At least 30 people died on Monday in several Russian attacks in different Ukrainian cities. One of the deadliest and considered “one of the worst” occurred in a pediatric hospital in the country’s capital, Kyiv, where at least nine people lost their lives.
The international community has already reacted and considered what happened to be “beyond cruel”, “barbaric”, “more than undignified” and “a war crime”.
But where did the attacks take place?
“One of the worst” Russian attacks on Kyiv took place in the largest pediatric hospital in Ukraine. At least nine people were killed and 33 were injured, according to Reuters. The children’s hospital in Okhmatdyt was badly damaged, with windows broken and several panels destroyed.
Another of the attacks occurred in Kryviy Rihthe homeland of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. At least 10 people died and 31 were injured.
Three other people died in Pokrovskin eastern Ukraine. The deaths resulted from a missile attack on industrial structures, according to the Donetsk regional governor.
A mine explosion killed five civilians in Kharkiv. Among the victims were a five-year-old child and a three-month-old baby. The explosion occurred when the car carrying the victims ran over a mine on a forest road.
There was still one dead following a Ukrainian attack on Nikolskoyein the border region of Belgorod, Russia. Three other people were injured.
“War crime”, “more than undignified” and “terrorism”. Portugal condemns attacks
O Ministry of Foreign Affairs Portuguese has “strongly condemned the Russian attacks on Kyiv, which hit, among other civilian targets, the country’s largest pediatric hospital”, noting that the indiscriminate attack on children is a war crime.

PAN spokesperson, Ines Sousa Realassured that “Putin must be judged for the heinous crimes” he commits and considered that “targeting a pediatric hospital is more than undignified”.

The Ukrainian community in Portugal condemned the Russian attacks and demanded more sanctions against Moscow. The president of Association of Ukrainians in Portugal lamented “yet another terrible terrorist act against the civilian population”.

A European Commission accused Russia of breaking the laws of war “too often” and called targeting a pediatric hospital “beyond cruel.”
Me and France has called Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities “barbaric acts.” The French Foreign Ministry said the attacks should be “added to the list of war crimes for which Russia will have to answer.”
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of ItalyAntonio Tajani, said that the Russian missile strikes in Ukraine “must be condemned” by the entire world. “I am shaken by the images of the bombings in Kyiv, which also hit a pediatric hospital. War crimes that must be condemned by the entire international community,” he said on X.

A United Nations Organization (UN) condemned the “wave of deadly bombings” carried out by the Russian army. In turn, the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterresalso condemned the attacks and described the one that hit a pediatric hospital as “particularly shocking.”
