Starmer said in an interview with the BBC that the meeting with Biden went “well”, describing: “They told us 45 minutes and we were [reunidos] for almost an hour.”
The Labor leader stressed that the US leader was attentive to “absolutely every detail.”
The British Prime Minister also commented that Biden is at the forefront of “some of the world’s most challenging issues” and, as host of the NATO Summit, which ends today in the US capital, “has demonstrated incredible leadership”.
Biden hosted the British Prime Minister at the White House on Wednesday in their first bilateral meeting since his recent election following the Conservatives’ defeat after 14 years of governing the United Kingdom.
Biden, 81, has been questioned about his health after his debate with Republican Donald Trump as part of the US presidential race in November.
Throughout the debate, Biden seemed absent at times and made several mistakes.
