O US President Joe Biden has said that his health is “in good shape” and, if he is recommended to undergo further tests to assess his mental capacity, he guarantees that he will do so.
“I have undergone three major and intensive neurological examinations carried out by a neurologist. All of them, the last one in February, show that I am in good shape”Biden said at a press conference.
The American leader clarified that his “neurological capacity is put to the test with decisions” that he has to take daily. However, he assures that if a neurologist thinks that “there is a problem” and that he needs to repeat the tests, he will not hesitate to do so.
“Every day I am surrounded by good doctors. If they think there is a problem and I should repeat the neurological exam, I assure you, I will repeat it. But no one is suggesting that to me.“, Biden noted.
However, the US president did not fail to send a barb to his opponent, Donald Trump.
“By the way, I released all the results. I didn’t hide anything. You should ask Trump about his.”he emphasized.
At issue are Joe Biden’s latest (and controversial) gaffes that once again focus attention on the mental health of the 81-year-old US president, who many consider to be unfit to take on such an important role as that of US president.
It is worth remembering that, on Thursday, Biden confused Volodymyr Zelensky with Vladimir Putin, at the end of the NATO summit, and mistakenly said that his vice president was Donald Trump, instead of mentioning Kamala Harris.
