Ingredients Dough
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 cup (tea) of sugar
- 200 grams of butter
- 6 eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Dough Preparation Method
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and set aside.
- Grease a bundt pan with butter. Set aside.
- In a mixer, beat the butter with the sugar until you get a smooth cream.
- Add the eggs one by one, beating until you get a light dough.
- Add the reserved flour and mix lightly.
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- Divide the dough into two portions.
- Add the chocolate to the first and mix well.
- In the other portion add the lemon zest.
- In the pan, pour the mixture in alternating layers, without stirring.
- Bake for about 45 minutes.
- Unmold while still hot.
Ingredients Chocolate Coating
- ½ can of condensed milk
- ½ can of milk
- 1 cup (tea) of chocolate powder
- 1 teaspoon of margarine
How to prepare Chocolate Coverage
- In a pan, place all the ingredients.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Ingredients Pink Topping
- 1 glass of milk
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- ½ teaspoon pink food coloring
Preparation Method Pink Topping
- In a pan, place all the ingredients.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Assembly
- Pour the chocolate frosting over the cake.
- Pour the pink frosting over the chocolate frosting.
- Decorate the side of the cake with Easter eggs.
Mom’s Tips
Chocolate eggs can be homemade or purchased ready-made from candy stores/distributors.
The chocolate topping presented can be replaced with creamy brigadeiro.
