How about roast meat, tastier and quicker to make?

Ingredients

  • ½ kg of filet mignon or sirloin
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup (tea) of breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Cut the meat into small fillets or wide strips.
  2. In a 12″ x 9″ baking dish, place the butter.
  3. Place over heat and let melt. Remove and set aside.
  4. Mix the eggs with 2 teaspoons of water. Set aside.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  6. In a bowl, place the breadcrumbs, onion, cheese, salt and mix well.
  7. Coat the fillets in wheat flour, then in beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  8. Distribute on the reserved baking sheet.
  9. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  10. Remove, turn the fillets over and bake for another 15 minutes.
  11. Remove and serve hot.

Mom’s Tips

You can find onion powder in good supermarkets.

Serve with white rice or cooked broccoli mixed with fried bacon.

Yields 4 servings.
