How about roast meat, tastier and quicker to make?
Ingredients
- ½ kg of filet mignon or sirloin
- 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 1/3 cup (tea) of breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- Salt to taste
Preparation Mode
- Cut the meat into small fillets or wide strips.
- In a 12″ x 9″ baking dish, place the butter.
- Place over heat and let melt. Remove and set aside.
- Mix the eggs with 2 teaspoons of water. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- In a bowl, place the breadcrumbs, onion, cheese, salt and mix well.
- Coat the fillets in wheat flour, then in beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Distribute on the reserved baking sheet.
- Place in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
- Remove, turn the fillets over and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Remove and serve hot.
Mom’s Tips
You can find onion powder in good supermarkets.
Serve with white rice or cooked broccoli mixed with fried bacon.
Yields 4 servings.
