NIn a note published on his social media account X, Ronny Jackson states that the bullet from the gun fired by the shooter was about six millimeters away from entering Trump’s head.
“It’s an absolute miracle that it didn’t kill him”said the doctor and Republican congressman, adding that the former President, in the race for the November presidential elections, is doing well and recovering “as expected” from a two-centimeter wound.
According to Jackson, although the swelling has gone down and the wound “is starting to heal properly,” Trump still has “intermittent bleeding,” which requires him to wear a bandage on his ear.
A week ago, Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet in his right ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooter, a 20-year-old man, was shot dead.
The shooting left one person dead and two injured among those in attendance.
Former White House physician Ronny Jackson was with Trump on the day of the attack and offered him support.
Trump was initially treated by medical staff at Butler Hospital.
