Ingredients
- 3 large peaches
- 180 ml white wine
- 1 cup (tea) of sugar
- ½ teaspoon lemon peel pieces
- 1 cinnamon stick
Preparation Mode
- Using a knife, score the skin of the peaches.
- Microwave on high power for 2 minutes.
- Peel, cut in half, remove the seeds and set aside.
- In a bowl, place the wine, sugar, cinnamon and lemon peels.
- Microwave on high power for 3 minutes.
- Place the peaches in the syrup with the cavity facing up.
- Microwave on medium power for 5 minutes.
- Turn the peaches halfway through.
- Remove the fruit, place in a compote dish and keep the syrup in the bowl.
- Remove the cinnamon and lemon peel and microwave only the syrup on high power for 3 minutes or until thickened.
- Pour the syrup over the peaches and let cool.
- Serve.
Mom’s Tips
When buying, choose peaches with firm but not hard skin. Choose those that are slightly soft when pressed with your fingers.
Another way to remove the peach skin: dip it in boiling water for 15 seconds and, using a very sharp knife, remove the skin.
