Simple and easy; this pie is exactly like that. A different, delicious and nutritious dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cups (tea) of sifted wheat flour
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 ovo
  • ½ kg of red plums

Preparation Mode

  1. Grease a 24 cm diameter springform pan. Set aside.
  2. Clean the plums and cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Set aside.
  3. Mix the butter with 2 tablespoons of sugar until you get a creamy consistency.
  4. Add the egg, wheat flour and knead until the ingredients are mixed.
  5. Let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  7. Roll out the dough on a smooth, floured surface.
  8. With the dough, line the bottom and edges of the pan.
  9. Prick the dough with a fork and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  10. Place the plums on the dough, one next to the other.
  11. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  12. Unmold once cooled.
  13. Serve sprinkled with remaining sugar. (optional)

Mom’s Tips

Nutritionists recommend eating prunes at least three times a week. Prunes are among the fruits that contain the most fiber.

Yields approximately 6 servings.
