Hachani had replaced Najla Bouden on August 1 last year, who was also dismissed without official explanation by President Kais Saied, who has monopolized all power in Tunisia since his coup d’état on July 25, 2021.
Democratically elected in October 2019, Kais Saied granted himself full powers three years ago, dismissing his then prime minister and suspending parliament, which was later dissolved.
After revising the Constitution in 2022 to introduce a hyper-presidentialist regime and elect a new parliament with very limited powers, he recently announced that he would run for a second term in the presidential elections to be held in Tunisia on October 6.
Earlier, Hachani had issued a statement on the meetings held at the Government headquarters, namely on the difficult situation of public transport.
Madouri, a former head of the National Health Insurance Fund, took over in May, replacing Malek Zahi, who was dismissed at the same time as Interior Minister Kamel Feki, who was succeeded by Khaled Nouri.
