“Sand Trump loses, I’m not sure”the Democratic president said, after being asked about the possibility of a peaceful transition of power, according to an excerpt from an interview with CBS.

“He means it. People don’t take him seriously. When he says things like ‘if we lose, it’s going to be a bloodbath,’ he means it.”highlighted the US head of state, who gave up his candidacy for the Democrats, now assumed by his vice-president, Kamala Harris.

“Look at what they’re trying to do now in local precincts where people are counting their votes,” Biden said, adding, “or putting people in states where they’re going to count their votes.”

Also today, the Democratic candidate once again warned of the danger that Trump represents for American democracy, in a new campaign rally with her recently announced running mate, Tim Walz, in the heart of the ‘Midwest’, in crucial states that will decide the November presidential elections.

Harris stressed that Trump “openly promised that, if reelected, he would be a dictator from day one, that he would use justice against his political enemies.”

“Anyone who suggests repealing the Constitution of the United States should never again have the opportunity to defend the seal of the President of the United States,” he stressed.

After the November 2020 presidential election, then-US President Donald Trump encouraged thousands of supporters to march on the Capitol, claiming electoral fraud in Democrat Joe Biden’s victory, which was never proven.

Approximately 1,400 people have been charged with federal crimes related to the Capitol riots that occurred on January 6, 2021. Nearly 900 have been convicted, with about two-thirds receiving prison sentences ranging from a few days to 22 years.

Trump has been criminally indicted in Washington for seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the run-up to the attack on the Capitol, in one of the legal cases he is facing.
