So simple, easy to make, this chicken pie pleases all palates. Delicious!!
Ingredients Dough
- 1 kg and 200 grams of wheat flour
- 1 kg of salted margarine
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- Egg yolk for brushing
Ingredients Filling
- 2 cups of cream cheese
- 2 cooked and shredded chicken breasts
- 3 chopped tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 cup (tea) of chopped green onions
- ½ cup (tea) of tomato sauce (bought ready-made)
- 1 cup (tea) of chopped green olives
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Dough Preparation Method
- In a bowl, sift the flour and add the remaining ingredients.
- Mix everything with your fingertips until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Place the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Remove, place on plastic, cover with plastic and roll out the dough using a rolling pin.
- Reserve dough to later cover the pies.
- Line the pie molds with the remaining dough.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
Preparation Method Filling
In a bowl, mix well the chicken, cream cheese, tomato, onion, tomato sauce, chives, olives, pepper and salt.
Assembly
- Fill the prepared molds.
- Cover with the remaining dough and brush with egg yolk diluted in a little milk.
- Bake in the oven until golden brown.
Mom’s Tips
You can use the same dough to make pies. In this case, after lining the pan, pierce it all over with the tines of a fork before filling it.
