A simple and tasty lemon cake can enrich your morning or afternoon snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 and ½ cup (tea) of sugar
- ½ cup (tea) of cream
- 5 tablespoons of butter
- 1 large pear orange
- 1 Sicilian lemon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Preparation Mode
- Prepare a 22 x 12 cm loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper and sprinkling it with wheat flour.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- Grate the lemon and orange peels. Set aside.
- Remove the juice from the lemon and orange. Set aside.
- Measure ½ cup of orange juice and three tablespoons of lemon juice. Set aside.
- In a blender, beat the measured juices with the cream, sugar, butter and eggs.
- Place the mixture in a bowl and add the grated peels, flour and yeast.
- Mix well.
- Place in the pan and bake until golden brown.
Mom’s Tips
With lemon juice mixed with powdered sugar, you can make the frosting for this cake.
