A simple and tasty lemon cake can enrich your morning or afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 and ½ cup (tea) of sugar
  • ½ cup (tea) of cream
  • 5 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 large pear orange
  • 1 Sicilian lemon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Preparation Mode

  1. Prepare a 22 x 12 cm loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper and sprinkling it with wheat flour.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. Grate the lemon and orange peels. Set aside.
  4. Remove the juice from the lemon and orange. Set aside.
  5. Measure ½ cup of orange juice and three tablespoons of lemon juice. Set aside.
  6. In a blender, beat the measured juices with the cream, sugar, butter and eggs.
  7. Place the mixture in a bowl and add the grated peels, flour and yeast.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Place in the pan and bake until golden brown.

Mom’s Tips

With lemon juice mixed with powdered sugar, you can make the frosting for this cake.
