Pistachio Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of cream
  • 1 cup (tea) of shelled pistachios
  • 1 can of milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 drops of peppermint essence (optional)
  • Green food coloring

Preparation Mode

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, beat the milk, condensed milk, cream, pistachios, food coloring and essence for 1 minute.
  3. Add the beaten egg whites and mix gently.
  4. Place in a jar with a lid and place in the freezer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  5. Remove, place in the mixer and beat again.
  6. Place in a jar and return to the freezer until hardened.

Mom’s Tips

Use the empty condensed milk can to measure the milk.

Approximate yield of 1 liter.

Pistachio Ice Cream 2

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 and ½ liters of milk
  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon of emulsifier
  • 1 tablespoon neutral alloy powder
  • 4 drops green food coloring

Preparation Mode

  1. In a blender, beat the milk, sugar, flavoring, coloring and neutral binder powder.
  2. Transfer to the mixer and beat for 5 minutes.
  3. Place in the freezer until it hardens.
  4. Remove, place in the mixer, add the condensed milk, the emulsifier and beat for another 15 minutes.
  5. Return to the freezer until hardened.

Mom’s Tips

Serve with ice cream sauce in the flavor of your choice.

Suggestion: decorate with jewelry sticks and mint leaves.

Flavoring, emulsifier and neutral binding powder can be found in homes/stores that sell culinary products for confectionery/parties.

Yields approximately 15 servings.
