Ingredients
- 1 boneless Chester®
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 can of tomato paste
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 200 grams of butter
- 3 small onions, sliced
- 10 grams of wheat flour
- 500 grams of rice
- 200 grams of raisins
- 100 grams of chopped walnuts
- 200 grams of Brazil nuts
- 100 grams of mushrooms
- 4 tablespoons of cream cheese
- 200 grams of grated parmesan cheese
- 200 grams of breadcrumbs
Preparation Mode
- Cut the Chester® into small pieces.
- Season it with salt, pepper and garlic.
- Dissolve the chicken broth in a glass of boiling water and set aside.
- In a deep pan, place half of the butter and heat over high heat.
- Add the Chester® pieces and sauté for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with wheat flour, add tomato paste and stir so that they cook evenly for approximately 5 minutes.
- Add the reserved chicken broth.
- Cover with enough water, add the onion and let it cook for 40 minutes.
- In another pan, cook the rice with the raisins.
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- After the rice is cooked, place half of the amount in a baking dish.
- Add the Chester® pieces with plenty of sauce, chestnuts, walnuts, mushrooms and cream cheese.
- Cover with the remaining rice.
- Spread small pieces of butter on top, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes.
Mom’s Tips
Fun fact: The chester we prepare at Christmas is a chicken from a breed with a large concentration of meat in the breast and thighs (super chicken).
Yields approximately 12 servings.
