Emblematic of the gastronomy of the north of France, the sugar tart, made with brioche dough, butter and sugar, is a must for snack time, or even for breakfast. We bet that you will succumb to this recipe which has been rated 4.8 by 750g readers. Let’s go for a little baking lesson.

The history of the sugar tart is deeply linked to that of the north of France, a region where sugar beet has been grown since the 19th century. It is also found elsewhere in France, such as in Bresse (with the galette bressane) or in the Ardennes (with the “galette à suc'”!). It is also present in Belgium but also in Quebec, where sugar is sometimes replaced by maple syrup.
