This year again, the Best Pastry Chef is back to the delight of gourmands. Viewers will be delighted to find this Thursday October 10 on M6 the legendary duo composed of Cyril Lignac and Mercotte. But a little novelty with the arrival of Laetitia Milot as the new presenter. However, this is not the only surprise awaiting the 14 candidates. Indeed, a breath of fresh air will blow over the trials. We tell you more on the subject in this article.

For this new season, candidates will start with the creative test in order to get to know them better. The objective this year is to find out more about their personality. Moreover, for each imposed theme, they will have to share a part of their personal story.

To find out more about the candidates, we can now go behind the scenes of the show. Laetitia Milot will be our guide and she will show us the orangeryplace where the participants live. They will discuss their impressions of the competition. A real place of intimacy and proximity, ideal for capturing real moments of life.

Concerning the second test, it will be the technical test with Mercotte. But this year, we are moving to a higher level since the requirements will be even greater. Indeed, Mercotte will welcome renowned pastry chefs under the tent. There will be one guest per event who will challenge amateur pastry chefs with a technique that is specific to them.

Finally, the last surprise challenge will have an exceptional feature. Indeed, at the end of this challenge, one of the pastry chefs will win le Cupcake d’orwhich will provide him with immunity. He will thus qualify directly for the following week.

All these new features will certainly spice up this 13th season.

In the second part of the show, the eliminated pastry chefs will be able to fight to re-enter the competition. They will then be supervised by Noémie Honiat and Mohamed, winner of season 10 of Best Pastry Chef.

They will challenge the candidates on a technique, a classic of pastry. “It is often the great pastry techniques that they lack and the failures in the competition.” The objective is therefore to have them rework the bases so that one of them re-enters the competition with all the cards in hand. Poaching, filling a good tart base, making choux pastry…Nothing will be left to chance.

We can’t wait to discover all this. So don’t miss this first gourmet meeting, Thursday October 10 as a bonus on M6.
