Ingredients
- 1 Italian baguette-style bread in 1.5 cm slices
- 1 and ½ cups grated or diced provolone cheese
- 4 Italian tomatoes, skinless and seedless, diced
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped basil
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Basil for sprinkling
Preparation Mode
- Preheat the oven at medium temperature for 10 minutes.
- When chopping the tomatoes, let them drain in a colander.
- Cut the garlic clove in half and rub it on the bread slices.
- Place the bread on a baking tray and place in the oven for 5 minutes to lightly toast.
- Retire e reserve.
- Season the tomato with pepper, salt, olive oil and basil.
- Distribute over the bread slices.
- Cover with provolone and place in a high oven to brown for approximately 10 minutes.
- Serve sprinkled with basil.
