Two subjects were arrested by the authorities, accused of participating in the kidnapping of a Colombian family in the municipality of Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico.

The two men were identified as Fulgencio, 45, and Irving, 34, and were detained on the highway that connects Monterrey with Nuevo Laredo. An anonymous person had made the complaint that these individuals, who are dedicated to the transportation of passengers, would have something to do with the disappearance of Edwin Fernando Núñez, 41 years old; Aylin Paola Pautt, 28; and his little one-year-old son.

The detainees told the authorities that they were forced by the armed individuals to drive to Monterrey with the three Colombian citizens aboard the vehicle. However, everything is a matter of research.

What happened to the Colombian family kidnapped in Mexico?

Mili Pautt, sister of Aylin Paola, a Colombian kidnapped in Mexico, confirmed that, around 5:00 p.m. on October 11, the Colombian consul in Mexico City, Andrés Hernández, He contacted her and told her that the family members were safe in a shelter.

From X, the consul stated that “The family reported missing (father, mother and son) are well and under the protection of the authorities in the State of Puebla. “They are safe and sound, we begin actions to return home.”

Andrés Hernández added that “the consulate activated all the protocols for the route that left from Cancún to Mexico City, in coordinated work with the authorities, to find the whereabouts of our compatriots.”

Finally, the official indicated that “we are waiting for them to return home soon and I will be in Puebla on October 14 to talk with them, provide consular attention and follow their process to return to Colombia.”
