Older woman had a deadly encounter with a cow: she ended up trampled

An 80-year-old woman died after being attacked by a cow on a public road in the United Kingdom. Although the woman was taken to a medical center, the severity of her injuries ended up costing her her life.

Hampshire authorities, cited by the Daily Echo, reported that after 2:00 pm on October 21, the local ambulance service received a report in which some citizens expressed concern about the condition of a woman in Roger Penny Way.

“The woman, in her 80s, was located and had serious injuries that were life-threatening. She was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.“, they detailed.

Community warns of incidents with cows

Days before, alerts had already been raised regarding the presence of these animals in the area, this after Kevin Parker, a 63-year-old man, reported that he had been attacked by a cow while walking his dog.

According to Parker, on October 17, He saw the bovine and let it pass, but as he walked towards the intersection he was attacked. Although she screamed and waved her arms, the cow did not seem upset. In the midst of desperation, he took a wrong step and slipped on the grass.

“It was huge! I was very worried that that thing was going to kill me or seriously hurt me.”commented the man, who, according to the Daily Echo, managed to move before the cow crushed him with its hooves.

The older man said he was lucky to only be injured in the “scary” encounter with the cow, but warned other hikers to stay alert to avoid accidents.
