Ingredients
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- ½ cup (tea) sugar
- 150 grams of butter in small pieces
- 1 pinch of salt
- Gel dye in various colors
- 2 excited
Preparation Mode
- Grease and flour a baking tray. Book.
- In a bowl, sift the flour, sugar and salt.
- Add the butter, incorporating with your fingers until you get crumbs.
- Add the egg yolks and continue mixing until you obtain a soft dough.
- Cover with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Place the dough on a surface lightly dusted with flour.
- Roll out the dough until it is about 6mm thick.
- Use the template (tie) to cut out the cookies.
- Place on the baking tray and bake at 160ºC for approximately 15 minutes.
- Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
- Use the topping and decorate as desired.
Meringue Topping Ingredients
- 4 + ½ cups (tea) icing sugar
- 3 tablespoons of meringue powder (60 grams)
- 120 ml of water
- Gel dyes of various colors
Preparation method Coverage
- In a mixer, beat the sugar with the water and meringue powder until you get a firm cream consistency.
- Divide the cream into several portions according to the colors of dye you will use.
- Always keep the cream covered with a damp cloth while not in use.
- Once decorated, let it dry for at least 4 hours.
Mom Tips
If you prefer, you can decorate the cookies with sugar paste (See Christmas Cookies) or with fractionated white chocolate dyed in the chosen colors.
