Salting a dish is a simple gesture, but the way in which it is done can significantly influence the seasoning and the final taste. The former candidate for the thirteenth season of the show Top Chef, Thibaut Spiwack, revealed his secret to successfully salting your food to perfection. It is in a video published on social networks that the latter lifted the veil on this technique which makes all the difference when you sit down to eat.
You may not know his identity, but his face and his salting technique are recognized throughout the world. This is Salt Bae, born Nusret Gökçe in Türkiye. The latter is a real hit in video on social networks. But is he right to salt meat particularly high up? Thibaut Spiwack has reestablished the truth by revealing the right action to adopt. “If you salt too low, your salt clumps and you will suddenly have uneven salting on your meat. Whereas when you salt from the top, your salting is even.”he explains. You can therefore gain a little height when you salt, well maybe not as much as the famous Salt Bae if you don’t want to cover your work surface more than your food.
“Now that you know how to salt your meat, there remains a big debate, is it better to salt it before or after cooking?”then launched the former candidate of the show Top Chef. In a comment, Thibaut Spiwack responded directly to his own question at the request of an Internet user. “Personally, I prefer before so that the seasoning penetrates the meat during cooking.”he declared. There you have it, so you have all the cards in hand to achieve a perfect seasoning. This advice applies here to meat but you can do it for any food.
