The president-elect of the United States, Republican Donald Trump, will appoint as his new “border czar”, to apply his strict border control policy to Tom Homan, who was already part of the former president’s team in his previous term (2017-2021).

“I am pleased to announce that the former director of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and faithful defender of border control, Tom Homan, will join the Trump administration to take charge of our nation’s borders,” he said last night in a message in his social network “Truth” the president-elect himself.
In his ad, Trump calls Homan “the border czar” and says that its policy will include the defense of the “southern border, the northern border, all maritime and aviation security.”
“I have known Tom for a long time and there is no one better to monitor and control our borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all deportations of illegal immigrants to their country of origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt that will do a fantastic and long-awaited job,” concludes Trump, who will take office on January 20.

Who is Homan?
In statements to CBS last October, Homan said that no raids on undocumented immigrants have been carried out during the Democratic administration of Joe Biden and announced that they will resume under the new administration.
Homan was named acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2017 and has decades of experience in immigration enforcement. He was a police officer, a United States Border Patrol agent, and a special agent with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service.
Homan joins the names that have already been confirmed to join the presidential cabinet such as Susie Wiles, who will be his chief of staff in the White House.

One of the people who could have a great role is the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, director of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of the social network X, from where he has promoted a strong campaign in favor of the Republican.
Trump offered Musk to run an office for “government efficiency” with the goal of cutting bureaucratic spending and fulfilling the Republican’s goal of eliminating what he calls the “deep state.”
Some position is also expected for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nephew of former Democratic President John F. Kennedy (1961-1963), controversial businessmanknown for his anti-vaccine stances, who Trump has said could play an important role in the health policy of his next Administration.
