The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported this Saturday, in a preliminary report collected by local mediathat at least 31 people were killed and 14 injured after “a wave of Israeli attacks” in eastern and southern Lebanon.
According to information published by Al Jazeera and the Lebanese media Al Manar, twenty people died in the region of Baalbek-Hermel (east), including 11 in the town of Knaisseh, and 14 other people were injured.
In the south, the report continues, at least 11 people were killed after the Israeli offensivesix rescuers in the village of Deir Qanun, in the city of Tyre, and five people in Hanaway.
The Israeli Army, for its part, reported on its official Telegram channel of the attack on “Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites in the Tire and Baalbek areas”in the south and east of Lebanon, respectively.
“Among the targets attacked were terrorists, operational apartments and weapons storage facilities,” assured the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
More responsible
The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah also claimed responsibility this Saturday for a total of 23 attacks with projectiles and drones against cities and settlements in northern Israel, and assured that it still has “enough missiles and drones” to continue the war.
At least 3,160 people have been killed in Lebanon since the start of the exchange of crossfire between Israel and Hezbollah in October 2023, mostly after the Israeli Army began its campaign of massive attacks against the Arab country on September 23.
At the same time, the violence has caused more than 1.2 million people have been forced to leave their homes, according to data released by the Lebanese Government.
