Ingredients

  • 7 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 cups (American) of cream cheese
  • 300 grams of chopped ham
  • 300 grams of grated mozzarella cheese
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cans of ready-made tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, melt the butter.
  2. Add the fennel seed and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the onion and garlic cloves, stirring constantly and sauté for another 3 minutes.
  4. Add the cans of tomato sauce and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
  5. Check if the salt is good, turn it off and set aside.

Rice Preparation Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with the curd.
  2. Season with salt, pepper and oregano.
  3. Mix and set aside.

Assembling the Lasagna

  1. Grease a medium-sized baking dish with butter.
  2. Add a layer of rice.
  3. Spread some of the tomato sauce, half of the mozzarella and half of the ham on top.
  4. Repeat the layers and finish with a layer of rice mixture and a little tomato sauce on top.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place in the oven at 180ºC. for approximately 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  7. Decorate to taste and serve immediately.

Mom Tips

Approximate yield of 4 servings.

If you prefer, you can serve the lasagna with your favorite vegetables.
