Popcorn Ingredients

  • ½ cup of popcorn corn
  • 4 tablespoons of oil

Sweet Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup (tea) Karo® corn glucose
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • ½ cup (tea) of water

Popcorn Preparation Method

  1. Add the oil and corn to the pan and cover.
  2. Cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until all the corn has popped.

Sweet Preparation Method

  1. Pour the sugar into another pan and heat.
  2. Stir until it melts and turns into caramel.
  3. Add, slowly, little by little and carefully the water and boil until the caramel breaks down.
  4. Add Karo® and boil until it breaks. (See Mom Tips below).
  5. Once ready, pour over the popcorn and serve.

Mom Tips

2/3 = Two thirds. Don’t confuse it with 2 or 3 cups.

Breaking point: when you put a teaspoon of syrup in a cup of water and it makes a breaking noise, the syrup will be ready.
