Popcorn Ingredients
- ½ cup of popcorn corn
- 4 tablespoons of oil
Sweet Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (tea) Karo® corn glucose
- 1 cup (tea) sugar
- ½ cup (tea) of water
Popcorn Preparation Method
- Add the oil and corn to the pan and cover.
- Cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until all the corn has popped.
Sweet Preparation Method
- Pour the sugar into another pan and heat.
- Stir until it melts and turns into caramel.
- Add, slowly, little by little and carefully the water and boil until the caramel breaks down.
- Add Karo® and boil until it breaks. (See Mom Tips below).
- Once ready, pour over the popcorn and serve.
Mom Tips
2/3 = Two thirds. Don’t confuse it with 2 or 3 cups.
Breaking point: when you put a teaspoon of syrup in a cup of water and it makes a breaking noise, the syrup will be ready.
