Traditional and preferred by many, this cake is not only soft and moist; it’s delicious! Hmm..!!!
Dough Ingredients
- 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 2 cups of sugar (tea)
- 1 cup (tea) chocolate powder
- ½ cup (tea) oil
- 1 cup of hot water
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of chemical baking powder
Filling Ingredients
- 2 cans of condensed milk
- 100 grams of grated coconut flakes
- 1 tablespoon unsalted margarine
- 1 can of cream
Syrup Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk (tea)
- 1 glass of coconut milk
- ½ cup (tea) sugar
Coverage Ingredients
- 200 grams of unsalted butter
- 1 cup (tea) chocolate powder
- 1 can of condensed milk
Dough Preparation Method
- Grease and flour a 26 cm diameter pan.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- In a blender, blend the dough ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven, let cool and unmold.
Filling Preparation Method
- In a pan, place the condensed milk, margarine and coconut.
- Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until it starts to come away from the pan.
- Remove from the heat, add the cream and mix.
How to prepare the syrup
Mix the syrup ingredients and set aside.
Coverage Preparation Method
- In a deep plate, place the butter, chocolate and mix.
- Add condensed milk little by little until you get a creamy consistency.
Assembly
- Cut the cake dough in half, drizzle one part with half the syrup.
- Spread the filling.
- Place the other part of the dough on top and pour over the rest of the syrup.
- Cover the cake with the icing, smoothing it with a spatula.
- Decorate to taste.
Mom Tips
The glass of coconut milk is 200 ml.
Approximate yield of 20 servings.
