New photos revealed of the suspect in the crime of Brian Thompson, CEO of Unitedhealthcare

The New York Police Department (NYPD) shared new photos of the suspect in killing Unitedhealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, while in the Big Apple the investigation continues for the sixth day in search of clues and information about the killer.

“The New York Police Department (NYPD) continues its investigative efforts and we ask for the public’s help,” the NYPD wrote on its X account, recalling that There is a reward “of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.”

Along with the message, the department posted two new photos showing a white man hooded and wearing a mask. In one of the images the young man is in the back of a taxi and in another he is walking in the street; both appear to have been taken from inside a car.

For its part, the FBI – which is also participating in this investigation – raised the reward this Friday to $50,000. for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the fatal shooting.

This Sunday, December 8, according to Fox, NYPD divers examined a lake in Central Park in search of the gun that the suspect would have used in the murder on Wednesday in front of the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

On Friday night, in a second inspection of Central Park, authorities found a backpack that could be related to the case. But, police sources told Fox News, the weapon used in the murder was not in the backpack.

The clues, which according to local media the Police are investigating, are: a backpack, photos, videos, ammunition, a bottle of water and a phone.

The suspect reportedly fled the crime scene on Wednesday to Central Park on a bicycle and then took a taxi to the Port Authority bus station, from where he is believed to have left New York City.

New York Mayor Eric Adams said this weekend in statements reported by The New York Post that the fence to find the suspect “is closing” and that detectives knew his name.

“We don’t want to disclose it now. If we do so, we would be giving a clue to the person we are looking for and we do not want to give them any advantage. This is a young white man who vanished on a bicycle heading to Central Park after knocking down the 50-year-old executive from behind when he was about to enter the company’s annual investor conference in a central Manhattan hotel.

According to security cameras, when he left the park he was not carrying the light gray backpack with which he committed the murder. Police found a phone in Central Park that they believe belonged to him, as well as a bottle of water, and are analyzing DNA from objects located at the crime scene.

The motive is still unknown, but in bullet casings found at the scene of the homicide
there were inscriptions such as “delay” or “deny”, words familiar to many health insurance users in a country where medical services are not available to everyone.
