Ingredients

  • 20 sheets of cooked lasagna dough
  • 1 kg fresh skinless sausage, chopped
  • 300 grams of mashed ricotta
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • ½ cup chopped green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon dehydrated garlic, onion and parsley

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cans of peeled tomatoes
  • 1 tablet of meat broth
  • 1 cup (tea) of water
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Heat the oil and brown the sausage, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and drain all the fat.
  3. Add the ricotta, green chilli, mozzarella and seasonings.
  4. Mix well and divide the filling between the dough sheets.
  5. Roll up like a jelly roll and set aside.
  6. Place the stuffed cannelloni in a baking dish and set aside.

Sauce Preparation Method

  1. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  2. Heat the oil and lightly brown the onion and garlic.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes with the liquid from the cans, water, meat broth and seasonings.
  4. Cover the pan and let it boil for 10 minutes or until you obtain a thick sauce, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spread the sauce over the cannelloni, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve hot.
