Several options are available to you, the main one being to find a good balance between the sugar in the cake and the drink. Do you want to surprise the taste buds of your guests? So opt for orgeat syrup. It is not just for children, quite the contrary! Sometimes somewhat neglected, this syrup nevertheless has everything to please. Born in Ancient Greece, before spreading throughout the Mediterranean, it was originally prepared with barley (hence its name) and crushed almonds. Today it no longer contains barley, but mainly bitter almond flavors, water and sugar.
