Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cup lentils
  • 150 grams of bacon in small cubes
  • 1 pill of pepperoni sausage
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cubes carrot
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 diced celery stalk
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • Chopped parsley to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Boiling water

Preparation mode

  1. In large pan, over medium heat, fry the bacon in the fat itself until golden brown.
  2. Add sausage, onion, garlic and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add lentils, celery, bay leaf, carrot, salt, pepper and 3 cups of boiling water.
  4. Cook for 30 minutes until the lentil is soft and the broth reduces.
  5. If necessary, add a little more water, it is found that the lentil is not soft.
  6. Pour into its own platter.

Mother Tips

Approximate yield of 6 portions.

Serve sprinkled with the parsley.
