Waldorf salad with gelatin

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of cooked ham cut into thin slices
  • 3 cups of apple cut into cubes
  • 3 cups of celery (celery) stalks cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 boxes of lemon flavor gelatin
  • 3 cups of water
  • Grease oil

Preparation mode

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let stand for a few minutes.
  2. Bring to the heat, stirring constantly, until dissolved.
  3. Remove from fire, add the celery, apple, lemon juice and mustard.
  4. Refrigerate until it begins to thicken, stirring occasionally.
  5. Line the bottom and sides of a ham slices, overlapping them.
  6. Pour the gelatin mixture on top and cover with the remaining slices.
  7. Refrigerate until firm.
  8. Unmold.
  9. Serve cold.

Mother Tips

Be careful not to let the gelatin harden before the ideal time.

Traditional Waldorf Salad

Ingredients

  • Plain lettuce leaves
  • 3 Cubed Apples in Cubes
  • 1 cup of chopped celery
  • ½ cup of chopped nuts
  • 3 tablespoons of raisins
  • 2 cups of mayonnaise

Preparation mode

  1. Line a salador with the lettuce leaves already sanitized.
  2. Mix the other ingredients and distribute over the lettuce in the salad bowl.
  3. Serve cold.

Mother Tips

Approximate yield of 5 portions.

There are versions that add to salad, grapes-panting and cheese cubes.
