“Horrible” attack on minors causes chaos with “far right” in Dublin

Speaking to the media, Superintendent Liam Geraghty indicated that the investigation is seeking to establish the motives that led a man, aged around 50, detained at the scene of the attack, to stab a woman, three children and himself.

In addition to the five-year-old child in serious condition, the woman, around 30 years old, who works at a school center, is being treated for “serious injuries”, while the other two minors are out of danger.

According to Geraghty, the alleged attacker, whose identity was not disclosed, is also hospitalized with stab wounds and is being questioned to clarify the reasons for the attack, which is why he called for the maintenance of public tranquility and to “avoid premature judgments”.

Some media indicate that the suspect, who was not born in Ireland, has lived in the country for more than 20 years and has an Irish passport.
