Fruit in the orchard? Leftover papaya in the fridge? Enjoy and make a delicious and nutritious cake!
Ingredients
- 2 cups peeled, seeded and chopped papaya
- 1 small cup (American) of oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 2 cups of sugar (tea)
- 1 dessert spoon of baking powder.
Preparation Mode
- In a bowl, sift together the wheat flour, sugar and yeast. Reserve.
- Grease and flour a medium round or rectangular pan. Reserve.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- In a blender, beat the papaya, oil and eggs.
- Remove and place the mixture in the bowl of dry ingredients.
- Using a wooden spoon, mix the dough well.
- Place in the reserved pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
Mom Tips
Know that papaya, due to its high nutrient content and many beneficial properties, is considered a functional food. One of its benefits is the reduction of LDL (bad cholesterol).
