Dough Ingredients
- Pulp of 2 passion fruits
- 4 egg whites
- 4 excited
- 1 cup (tea) sugar
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
Syrup Ingredients (1st Option)
- 1 can of cream
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of passion fruit juice
Syrup Ingredients (2nd Option)
- 1 cup passion fruit pulp with seeds
- 1/2 cup (tea) sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup (tea) of water
Dough Preparation Method
- Grease and flour a 24 cm diameter pan.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- In electric mixer, beat the egg whites.
- Add, beating continuously, the egg yolks, sugar, pulp, flour and yeast.
- Pour the dough into the pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, unmold and let cool.
- Mix all the syrup ingredients (1st Option) and drizzle over the cake.
- For the syrup (2nd Option), mix the cornstarch with the water, add the other ingredients and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until you obtain a jelly-like syrup.
- Serve immediately.
Mom Tips
Use the empty condensed milk can to measure the juice.
If you prefer, you can add a little more sugar to the 2nd syrup option. This syrup becomes thicker when cold.
