Air crash on a busy road in Ecuador left two people injured: shocking videos

A small plane fell this Tuesday on an avenue in the coastal city of La Libertad, Ecuador, leaving two people dead, reported the ECU 911 Integrated Security Service.

The entity received on the afternoon of November 26, 2024 “the alert of the fall of an aircraft on Av. Eleodoro Solorzano“, a busy street in La Libertad, in the province of Santa Elena (southwest), said ECU 911 on the social network X.

The security service reported two deaths from the incident. Recordings spread on social networks show the exact moment in which the plane crashes into the pavement.

Who are the victims?

Local media reported that the dead They are a man and a woman who were traveling in the aircraft, and that a motorcyclist was injured by a piece of the plane.

In images spread on social networks, it is observed the small plane destroyed on the asphalt next to a white car. On a part of the aircraft it reads ESMA, which is the acronym for the Higher Military Aviation School.

Through a statement, the Ecuadorian Air Force said that the basic training aircraft DA 20C1 FAE-1064, belonging to the “Cosme Rennella Barbatto” Higher Military Aviation School, based in Salinas, suffered an accident while carrying out an instruction flight in the canton of La Libertad.

The FAE confirmed the identity of the deceased, who were Captain Diana EstEstefaníaiz Solis and cadet Juan Andrés Pacheco Ramírez. It was confirmed that the legal procedures corresponding to the case are being carried out and support is being provided to the families of the victims.

“The military and civilian personnel of our institution are in mourning for the unfortunate death of Captain Diana Estefaníaiz Solis and Cadet Juan Andrés Pacheco Ramírez, who were distinguished in life “Lady and Knight of the Air”.
