The banana candy from your childhood is super easy to make, so give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 8 whole bananas with peels
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 cup (tea) of orange juice
  • Cinnamon stick to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. No peeling; wash the bananas and dry them.
  2. Place the bananas (with the peel) in pieces in the blender.
  3. Place the mixture in a pan with the orange juice, sugar and cinnamon.
  4. If necessary, you can add a little more sugar.
  5. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes away from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Transfer to a jar with a lid.

Mom Tips

The well-covered candy is valid for approximately 1 week.

Yield of 2 cups of ready-made candy.

Serve with bread or toast, also over pies or as a filling for pancakes.
