The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, charged tonight against the French President, Emmanuel Macron, who was in favor of ceasing arms supplies to Israel for its offensive in Gaza and Lebanon, and replied to the French president that Israel will win “with or without your support.”

“What a shame”responded the Hebrew president in a video appearance this Saturday night, in which He also criticized the rest of the Western countries that support Macron’s opinions.

The Israeli president assured that Iran does not ask for arms embargoes on its allies, like the Shiite militia Hezbollah, or the pro-Iran militiamen in Iraq or the Houthis in Yemen, because “the axis of terror” – as that alliance refers to – remains united.

“While Israel fights against the barbarisms led by Iran, civilized countries should position themselves alongside him,” he reproached.

Benjamin Netanyahu: the Army fights “for peace”

In the speech, the Israeli leader assured that his Army fights “for peace and security in the world.”

With all this, Netanyahu responds to statements by Macron in an interview broadcast by France Inter radio, in which he defended seeking again “a political solution” to the conflict in Gaza – in which almost 42,000 Palestinians have died – as well as to stop supplying Israel with weapons.

Macron did not mention the countries that must stop selling weapons to the Jewish State, but the United States appears, by far, as the main supplier.

The French leader also said in the interview that Lebanon “cannot become the new Gaza” and called for a de-escalation of the conflict.

More than ten days ago, Israel launched an intense bombing campaign against Lebanon, especially in the south, the Bekaa Valley – east – and Beirut – in the southern suburbs, known as Dahye, but also in the center of the capital on two occasions.

Last Tuesday it also began its land operations against the neighboring country, in which nine soldiers have died and the forces estimate that they have killed some militiamen from the pro-Iranian group.

Since this outbreak of hostilities began, more than 2,000 Lebanese have died and 1.2 million have been forced to move due to Israeli bombing.
