As a unique dish, cannelloni is very easy to make and offers a variety of filling options. It can’t be missing from your menu!

Ingredients

  • 10 pre-cooked lasagna noodles
  • 2 cans of ready-made tomato sauce
  • ½ cup (tea) skimmed milk
  • 1 pot of mashed ricotta
  • 4 tablespoons grated mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 chopped basil leaves
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Grease a baking dish and set aside.
  2. Mix the cheeses, season with nutmeg, salt, pepper and half the basil.
  3. Stuff the lasagna pasta, rolling it to form cannelloni.
  4. Season the milk with a pinch of salt and set aside.
  5. Place the cannelloni in the ovenproof dish.
  6. Pour the tomato sauce over the top and drizzle with the seasoned milk.
  7. Bake in a medium oven until you notice that the food is bubbling.
  8. Serve garnished with the remaining basil leaves.

Mom Tips

Yield of 10 servings.

The tomato sauce can be replaced with white sauce.
