This is a cake for chocolate and cherry lovers and guarantees the perfect ending to a special occasion.

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 and ½ cups (tea) of sifted wheat flour
  • 2 cups of sugar (tea)
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup (tea) oil
  • 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sifted baking powder

Filling and Covering Ingredients

  • 400 grams of chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 can of cream
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 cup chopped cherry in syrup
  • Whole cherries
  • Chocolate Arabesques

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Grease and flour a 22 cm diameter pan and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. Place the flour and yeast in a bowl, mix and set aside.
  4. In a blender, blend the remaining ingredients.
  5. Place the mixture in the reserved flour bowl and mix.
  6. Pour into the pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
  7. Let cool and unmold.
  8. Cut the cake in half lengthwise. Book.

Filling preparation method

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
  2. Add the cream, milk, honey and stir until homogenized.
  3. Separate half of the cream obtained.
  4. Mix the cherry into one of the cream halves.

Cake Assembly

  1. Prepare a serving dish by lining it with a cellophane towel.
  2. Place one half of the cake.
  3. Moisten with cherry syrup.
  4. Spread the filling and cover with the remaining dough.
  5. Cover the cake with the remaining filling.
  6. Decorate with chocolate arabesques and cherries.

Lining for cake plates – Cellophane towels (decorated and of all sizes) can be found at home/culinary stores for confectionery or at home/packaging stores.
