This is a cake for chocolate and cherry lovers and guarantees the perfect ending to a special occasion.
Dough Ingredients
- 2 and ½ cups (tea) of sifted wheat flour
- 2 cups of sugar (tea)
- ½ cup of milk
- 1/3 cup (tea) oil
- 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon sifted baking powder
Filling and Covering Ingredients
- 400 grams of chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 can of cream
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 cup chopped cherry in syrup
- Whole cherries
- Chocolate Arabesques
Dough Preparation Method
- Grease and flour a 22 cm diameter pan and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- Place the flour and yeast in a bowl, mix and set aside.
- In a blender, blend the remaining ingredients.
- Place the mixture in the reserved flour bowl and mix.
- Pour into the pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.
- Let cool and unmold.
- Cut the cake in half lengthwise. Book.
Filling preparation method
- Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
- Add the cream, milk, honey and stir until homogenized.
- Separate half of the cream obtained.
- Mix the cherry into one of the cream halves.
Cake Assembly
- Prepare a serving dish by lining it with a cellophane towel.
- Place one half of the cake.
- Moisten with cherry syrup.
- Spread the filling and cover with the remaining dough.
- Cover the cake with the remaining filling.
- Decorate with chocolate arabesques and cherries.
