Cooked Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 ears of corn
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pressure cooker, place the already sanitized cobs, cover with water and season with salt.
  2. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes after the pressure starts.
  3. Wait for the pressure to release, open the pan and transfer the cobs to a refractory dish.
  4. Mix the butter with the cheese and spread over the cobs.
  5. Serve

Mom Tips

Yields 6 servings.

Do not substitute butter for margarine.

You can use, if you prefer, another type of grated cheese of your choice.

Roasted Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

  • 12 ears of green corn
  • 5 tablespoons of margarine with salt.
  • 2 tablespoons of green scent

Preparation Mode

  1. Wash the green corn cobs well.
  2. Distribute the cobs on a grill and place it over the coals for 25 minutes.
  3. From time to time, rotate the cobs so that they brown on all sides.
  4. Make a paste with margarine and green scent.
  5. Apply the paste to the cobs as soon as they are ready.
  6. Serve then.

Corn with Okra

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of frozen green corn
  • 2 cups sliced ā€‹ā€‹okra
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 6 tablespoons of tomato pulp
  • 1 grated onion
  • Ā½ cup (tea) of water
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. In a bowl, place the already sanitized and cut okra with the lemon juice and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat the butter and sautƩ the onion until golden.
  3. Add the corn, okra and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the tomato pulp and season with pepper and salt.
  5. Cook over low heat until the ingredients are cooked.
  6. If necessary, add water.
  7. Remove from heat, place in ovenproof dish and serve.

Mom Tips

Approximate yield of 6 servings.

The lemon juice cuts the drool from the okra.

Corn Angu

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of milk
  • Grated kernels from 4 ears of green corn
  • 2 cubes of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup bacon (fried cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped green chilli

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, place the first 4 ingredients.
  2. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly and cook until thickened.
  3. Place in a soup bowl and serve sprinkled with bacon and green chillies.
