Moist dough, creamy filling and unforgettable flavor! It’s hard to eat just one piece of this creamy cake.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 2 cups (tea) of sugar
  • 1 cup (tea) of chocolate powder
  • 1 cup (tea) of oil
  • 1 cup (tea) of boiling water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Ingredients Filling and Topping

  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted margarine
  • 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 can of cream without whey

Ingredients Syrup

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • ½ cup (tea) of cocoa liqueur
  • 1 cup (tea) of water

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  2. Grease and flour a 22 cm x 30 cm pan.
  3. In a blender, beat the water, oil, sugar, chocolate and eggs until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  4. Place in a bowl and add the flour, yeast and mix well with a spoon.
  5. Place the dough in the pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until completely baked.
  6. Remove from the oven, unmold and let cool.

Preparation Method Filling

  1. In a pan, place all the ingredients and cook over low heat.
  2. Stir constantly until it comes away from the bottom of the pan.
  3. Remove from heat, add the cream and mix well.

Syrup Preparation Method

Mix all ingredients. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. Cut the cake in half.
  2. Drizzle with half of the syrup and spread half of the filling on top.
  3. Place the other part of the dough and drizzle with the remaining syrup.
  4. Cover the cake with the remaining cream.

Mom’s Tips

For a generous filling and topping, double the filling and topping ingredients but prepare the filling in two steps.

Suggestion: decorate the cake with chocolate shavings or natural fruit.

Yields approximately 20 servings.
