On September 12, subscribers to the Netflix platform were able to travel between Paris and Rome thanks to season 4 of Emily in Paris. The opportunity to meet Emily Cooper and her group of friends and discover their many adventures. Among other things, we were once again able to salivate over the dishes of Gabriel, head chef of the restaurant L’esprit de Gigi. Once again, the young man pulled out all the stops to win his first Michelin star. In reality, actor Lucas Bravo only presented the dishes prepared by a chef who is not unknown to the general public… Thibaut Spiwack.

As a reminder, the chef now works at the Anona restaurant in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. His plant-based cuisine is his trademark. He was also rewarded for his work by obtaining a green star in the Michelin Guide in 2020 as well as his first star in the Michelin Guide in 2023.

For the series, the cook’s objective was to create a menu from A to Z, 100% Norman. A successful bet since in the episodes, the dishes prepared by Gabriel simply hypnotized us: they seemed as beautiful as they were delicious.

A hope therefore animates the most gourmets among us: to finally be able to taste the dishes that we can see through our screen. Good news, it’s now possible.

Obtaining Gabriel’s first star in the series was perhaps the opportunity for Thibaut Spiwack to take the plunge and offer a 100% Emily in Paris menu in his Anona restaurant. The chef will therefore concoct the menu imagined for the restaurant “L’esprit de Gigi” at a price of 65 euros. A proposal which will be ephemeral and which will only last from November 12 to November 29.

Appetizers: Roasted brioche, shellfish and marinière ice cream
Entrée : Flower tart, light Brillat-Savarin cream, green tomato confit
Plat : Perpetual mushroom, black truffle cream, pepper condiment
Dessert : Emily’s beret, vanilla cream, apple confit, salted butter caramel, hazelnut shortbread

The dessert was imagined by Anona’s new pastry chef, Pierre Boré, in homage to the series.

The L’Esprit de Gigi menu will exceptionally be served at lunch at Anona, 80 boulevard des Batignolles, 75017 Paris until November 29 inclusive.
