Ingredients
- ¼ cup grated apple
- 1 cup (tea) wheat flour
- 2 and ½ tablespoons of light margarine
- ¼ cup (tea) skimmed milk
- 2 tablespoons sweetener
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- Beaten egg
Preparation Mode
- Sift the flour with the baking powder.
- Add the margarine and mix gently with your fingertips until you get crumbs.
- Add the grated apple and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the milk and sweetener and mix until you get a soft dough.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- On a smooth, flat and floured surface, place the dough.
- Using a floured rolling pin, roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 cm.
- Cut the dough using your favorite cookie cutter.
- Place the cookies on a non-stick baking tray.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake until the cookies are dry.
- After baking, sprinkle them with cinnamon powder.
Mom Tips
Grate the apple on the coarse side of the grater.
The powdered dietary sweetener must be oven and stovetop safe.
