Marinated chicken in summer is a bit like tartiflette in winter: a real must-have. Even if we are the first to pounce on an Indian or Thai-style marinated chicken, we never say no to a little novelty! That is why today we are offering you the chance to make a Jerk chicken. A preparation full of flavors and spicy as we like it that will take you on a journey in just a few bites!

Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time 30 mins
Waiting time: 10 mins

To cook, sear the chicken on the barbecue, making sure to turn it on each side, until browned, about 5 to 10 minutes. In the meantime, reduce the marinade before serving as an accompaniment. Finish cooking the meat using indirect cooking, i.e. the flames should not touch it directly. Close the barbecue lid and cook for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, keeping an eye on it.

Once the meat is cooked, place it in a nice serving dish, let it rest for 10 minutes, then serve. Enjoy your meal!

Probably invented by African slaves captured by the English and brought to Jamaica by English settlers, Jerk Chicken is a recipe made with ingredients that were found locally, namely spices and wood to cook the meat.
