The first case occurred in the city of Monterrey, capital of the state, when A 15-year-old teenager lost his life after falling into the bed of the La Silla River while going to get a ball. with whom I was playing soccer with a group of friends.
Monterrey Civil Protection personnel indicated that Red Cross rescuers attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation to try to keep the minor alive; However, he was declared without vital signs.
Witnesses indicated that the teenager fell into the river and although one of his companions managed to extract him, they could not do anything for him.
The second incident occurred in the municipality of Allende, in the south of the state, where two minors who were electrocuted when they were playing with a bicycle in the middle of the rain and touched an electrical power pole.
According to the report from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), Storm Alberto made landfall during the night of Wednesday and early Thursday morning, at a point near the municipalities of Ciudad Madero, Tampico and Altamira, Tamaulipas.
“Its wide circulation will produce intense rains with occasional torrential rains (150 to 250 millimeters) in the state of Nuevo León and the north of Tamaulipas”detailed the SMN.
To avoid putting the student population at risk, The Government of Nuevo León determined the suspension of classes in basic education from the afternoon of this Wednesday, as well as Thursday and Friday. Public and private secondary and higher education institutions also joined the measure.
