Ingredients and Others
- Noble milk chocolate, melted and tempered
- Melted and tempered white chocolate
- Already sanitized chicken eggshells
- 1 garland hoop
- Small flowers and leaves of your choice (optional)

Preparation Mode
- When using chicken eggs, use the shells.
- To clean them: Pierce both ends of the egg with the help of a tapestry needle.
- If you prefer, pierce just one of the ends.
- Carefully insert the tip of a pair of scissors into the hole made and start cutting the shell only on one side.
- Try to make the hole as small as possible.
- Cut a small circle. Remove the cone.
- To remove the white and yolk, you can blow through one of the holes (if it was pierced on both sides) or use a syringe (if the egg was pierced on only one side).
- After removing the yolk and white, wash immediately with plenty of water.
- Sterilize by immersing it in a mixture of water and vinegar or by placing alcohol inside the egg.
- Empty, rinse and leave to dry. It can be in the oven for 10 minutes at 150ºC.
- At this stage, you can decide whether you will just use the shells to make the decorative wreath or whether you prefer to make a chocolate wreath.
- For chocolate garland: Melt the chocolate, place in the piping bag and gently fill in your eggs.
- Place the eggs inside an egg carton (with the hole facing up), place in the fridge and leave until the chocolate hardens.
- You can, if you prefer, cover the hole with adhesive.
- Remove and place each egg in paper molds.
- Decorate the eggs to taste with or without the shell.
Decorating Chocolate Eggs
- Once the chocolate has hardened, peel the eggs.
- Melt the white and dark chocolate.
- On the dark eggs, make streaks with white chocolate.
- Make streaks with dark chocolate on the white eggs.
Decorating Eggshells (Decorative option without chocolate)
- Egg shells must be empty and sanitized.
- You can paint them to your liking or color them by immersing them in colored water for 2 hours.
- Immersion can be done in two ways.
- Dip the shells in warm water with crepe paper in the color of your choice.
- You can also dip the shells in a solution made with 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 20 drops of coloring and 1 cup of hot water.
- After 2 hours in either solution, place the shells to dry.
Garland Assembly
- For table garland – chocolate garland (table decoration around a special dish)
- Wrap the wreath hoop with plastic wrap.
- Glue the chocolate eggs next to each other on the wreath with melted chocolate. Decorate to taste.
- For decorative/artificial (door) wreath with painted shells; Glue the eggs side by side with hot glue. Decorate to taste.
Mom Tips
You will use approximately 100 grams of chocolate to fill each egg.
The garland rim can be purchased ready-made or made with cardboard, Styrofoam, MDF or another material of your choice.
Whites and yolks can be used in other recipes of your choice.
