Falafel is typical of the East. They are fried dumplings with chickpeas and various condiments. They are also considered “veggie burgers”. Delicious!!
Ingredients
- 400 grams of canned chickpeas with water
- 75 grams of mushrooms, cut into cubes
- 50 grams of breadcrumbs
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped or crushed
- 1 and ½ tablespoons of curry powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 chopped chives
- 2 egg whites
- Chopped fresh cilantro to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Preparation Mode
- In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the mushrooms and chives.
- Stir and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
- In a blender, blend the chickpeas with the water and garlic.
- Place the mixture in a bowl and add the chives, coriander, parsley, curry, cumin and mushroom. Stir well.
- Add the breadcrumbs and egg whites.
- Mix well until all ingredients are well mixed.
- Shape into balls and flatten them into burgers.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry them for approximately 5 minutes, browning them on both sides.
